Motherhood has a way of illuminating all of the areas of life that need reconciliation and attention. This is Motherhood as Medicine.

In this episode, Nicole Pasveer and I dive into all things Good Girl Conditioning.

Nicole shares openly and honestly about her personal experience healing her inner “good girl” while diving into some of the many other related layers: life pausing perfectionism, lack of boundaries, low self-worth, codependency, and fear of abandonment.

Nicole shares:

  • How good girl conditioning shows up in pregnancy, birth, and the tender postpartum period, with raw and relatable examples from her own postpartum experience
  • Her strategy of “catching the shoulds” for discerning between a true desire/need and a conditioned response
  • The difference between internal boundaries vs. external boundaries
  • The importance of storytelling, community, and a village of support to help make meaning from our experiences
  • And we discuss the #1 most important first step to begin healing the inner good girl, plus a couple super simple practices to begin to reconnect to your body

Nicole Pasveer is a former RN, current birth educator and motherhood coach. She’s also a mom on a mission to rewrite the narrative and help mother’s unlearn and heal from deep societal conditioning so that they can reclaim their instincts and smash generational cycles!
