You've made it through the fog of early postpartum. Your baby is thriving, your family is finding its rhythm, and life is beautifully, wonderfully full. It's also just... a lot to keep up with.
There's the cupboard you haven't opened fully since the third trimester. The sheets that have been on the bed a little too long. The grocery run you keep putting off because taking a baby to the store is its own adventure. The meal you've been meaning to prep all week. The basket of clean laundry that's been 'almost folded' for four days. None of it is urgent. All of it is quietly taking up space in your head.
Mother's Helper support is for the mother who is six months or more into this — past the initial healing, past the newborn haze, finding her footing in this new life, and carrying a to-do list that never quite gets done. This isn't doula care. It's not coaching or emotional processing. It's someone who shows up, rolls up her sleeves, and works through your actual list — while you rest, play with your kids, or finally get to that coffee while it's still hot.
I bring the same warmth and attunement I offer in all of my work, without the formal package structure. Just grounded, practical, task-based support — so you can breathe a little easier in your own home.
Practical, hands-on support that lifts what's weighing on you — so you can show up fully for the people and moments that matter.
Tackling that cupboard, drawer, or corner that has been quietly haunting you
Folding and putting away laundry — yes, all of it
Changing bed linens and resetting your bedroom so it actually feels like a sanctuary again
Meal prep and batch cooking so future-you has something nourishing already waiting
Tidying and light cleaning — surfaces, floors, bathrooms
Grocery shopping or errand running
Organizing a room, a closet, a pantry, the endless toys — whatever is living rent-free in your head
Donation drop-offs, returns, or any of those small errands that require leaving the house
A warm presence and a listening ear while we work — because sometimes it just helps to have another person in the space
You tell me what would make the biggest difference, and we make it happen.
This might look like:
THIS IS FOR YOU IF:
You could hire a cleaner, but they won't prep a meal. Then you'd need to hire a meal prep service, but they won't organize the legos into labelled bins. Then you'd need a personal assistant. And someone to do your grocery run. And a laundry service. And a person to help you finally sort through that overstuffed closet.
Or — you could have one person who does all of it.
That's what makes a Mother's Helper different. There's no booking four separate services, no explaining your home to four different strangers, no coordinating four different schedules around nap time. It's one visit, one person who already understands your world, shaped entirely around whatever your home and your week actually need right now.
Sometimes that's an hour of batch cooking and a load of laundry. Sometimes it's clearing out the car, reorganizing the pantry, and picking up groceries on the way. Sometimes it's all of the above. I show up ready to be useful in whatever way makes the biggest difference to you that day — without the overhead of managing a whole roster of services to make it happen.
And unlike a standard cleaner or errand service, I'm also a mother and a homeowner. I know what it's like to manage a household, a family, a child. I'm not just ticking boxes — I'm paying attention, noticing what actually needs doing, and bringing genuine care and thoughtfulness to every corner of it.
Mother's Helper support is practical and task-based, and it sits outside of my doula offerings. If what you are craving is emotional processing, birth story integration, baby care, hands-on care for your healing and wellbeing, or postpartum mental health support, I would love to point you toward one of my postpartum doula packages. A mother's helper visit is for the practical stuff — the list that never ends, the corners that need attention, the things that would make your home feel like yours again and take the weight of your to-do list off your shoulders.
No judgment about the state of your kitchen. No unsolicited opinions. Just a warm heart with steady hands and rolled up sleeves ready to tackle it all and make your life feel easier.
Virtual sessions are available too — and they're not just for people outside my area. If you're local but what you really need is someone to tackle the digital chaos, virtual support might be exactly what you're looking for. You hand me your list and I get to work — researching, booking appointments, placing your grocery order, finding that local service you've been meaning to look up, or tackling whatever else is sitting on your list that doesn't require me to be physically in your home. You get to close the laptop and let someone else handle it for a while. Virtual sessions are $30/hour, with a one hour minimum, and available wherever you are.

"I can’t express enough how grateful I am for Lauren’s doula services. From the moment I decided to hire her around 34 weeks, I knew I had made the right decision. Her calming presence and unwavering support truly transformed my birth experience. Despite my birth plan not going as expected, Lauren ensured that I never felt judged or unsupported. Instead, I felt empowered, heard, and completely taken care of every step of the way."

"From the moment I met Lauren, I felt like I was talking to a dear friend. I immediately felt comfortable and supported as we explored topics like matrescence, boundary work, and partner dynamics after having a child. Our conversations became a lifeline for me during a particularly complicated postpartum period. I felt safe enough to leave my baby for a few hours to attend much-needed pelvic floor physiotherapy and other aftercare, thanks to Lauren’s nursing background. It was truly a privilege to be held by someone so passionate, knowledgeable, and kind."
